ABOUT ACLA

Increasing numbers of Arab Canadians are graduating from law schools and making important contributions to domestic and international legal, political, social and economic systems through their work.

At the same time, the Arab community in Canada has grown steadily along with their need for legal and advocacy services.

ACLA's main purpose is to strengthen the network of Arab Canadian lawyers, support students and junior lawyers and assist the Arab community in Canada to access vital legal resources.

Mission Statement

  1. Promote and facilitate professional and social interaction amongst members.
  2. Advocate on behalf of the Arab community in Canada.
  3. Increase public awareness of legal issues relevant to the Arab community in Canada.
  4. Promote and advance legal education to the Arab Canadian community.
  5. Provide mentorship to current and potential Arab Canadian law students.
  6. Assist all lawyers in dealing with matters relating to the Arab community.
  7. Network with other groups, individuals and communities in accordance with ACLA’s mandate.
